What do you need to make the scones?
- 3 eggs
- 230ml milk
- 80g butter
- Little flower
Do it yourself
1. If using raisins, soak them in lukewarm water (15 min) and pat them dry.
2. Put the contents of the mix in a large mixing bowl and add 80 grams of butter in small pieces.
3. Knead this mixture with your hands until a crumbly mass is formed.
4. Add 2 eggs and half of the milk.
5. Knead this into a wet dough and add the rest of the milk little by little.
6. Fold the dough with a little flour into a soft dough.
7. Roll out this dough into a slice of 2 cm thickness. Cut out rounds (6 cm in diameter) with a cutter (or, for example, a glass)
8. Place the scones on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush the top with beaten egg.
9. Bake the scones in a preheated oven (220 degrees C) for 15 minutes until risen and golden brown.
10. Let the scones cool. Cut them in half. They are delicious with jam, clotted cream, honey or, for example, lemon curd.
