Proud of your own Oliebollen
Dapeppa got the recipe from miller Jos van Korenmolen de Zandhaas. Jos' mother already got this recipe from the cookbook of the Amsterdam domestic school. The first edition appeared in 1910.
Since Jos became a miller, he bakes Oliebollen every year for his customers of the mill. In the beginning he did this as a nice thing to do, but now there are long reservation lists. A whole team of volunteers now bakes every year to meet the demand.
