The story

About this package

The smell of speculaas filling the whole house. That's what you're doing this for. You make this cake yourself with warm speculaas spices, all you add is butter and a couple of eggs.

Mix, beat, and bake. A little later you're slicing into a dark, spiced cake that's begging for a cup of tea. Autumn in a bite, though we happily eat it all year round.

Tip: a handful of flaked almonds on top makes it instantly festive.

Here's how to bake it

1
Mix

beat 175 g soft butter for 2 minutes until fluffy. Add the mix first, then the eggs one at a time. Stir until you have a smooth batter.

2
Bake

50 to 65 minutes at 160°C. Insert a skewer, if it comes out dry the cake is ready.

3
Enjoy

let it cool for 10 minutes. Great with coffee or tea. Tip
